1983 - Queensryche EP - Consisting of the songs:
1.Queen of the Reich
2.Nightrider
3.Blinded
4.The Lady Wore Black
With powerful vocals registering at levels that could have shattered glass. Queensryche came on the scene with a sound that just blew away everyone who was coming out at the time. A defined sound all of their own die hard fans know that this album set the path in motion for many sub generas of metal music like Symphonic and Progressive.
1988 - Operation: Mindcrime
1.I Remember Now
2.Anarchy X
3.Revolution Calling
4.Operation: Mindcrime
5.Speak
6.Spreading the Disease
7.The Mission
8.Suite Sister Mary
9.The Needle Lies
10.Electric Requiem
11.Breaking The Silence
12.I Don't Believe In Love
13.Waiting For 22
14.My Empty Room
15.Eyes Of A Stranger
This is their 4th studio album and it weaves a story of love, corruption and abuses of power that were all hot button topics at the time. Governmental conspiracies flow through the lyrics and it is hands down the crowning masterpiece of the band's overall body of work. A concept album that etched Queensryche in the history books. Bands often tried to imitate but the truth is, no better concept album aside from perhaps King Diamond came out during that time.
1990 - Empire
1.Best I Can
2.The Thin Line
3.Jet City Woman
4.Della Brown
5.Another Rainy Night
6.Empire
7.Resistance
8.Silent Lucidity
9.Hand On Heart
10.One And Only
11.Anybody Listening?
12.Last Time In Paris
13.Scarborough Fair
14.I Dream In Infrared (1990 Remix)
Queensryche finally met with commercial success with the release of Empire in 1990. With both heavy radio and also Mtv rotation finally the public was hearing a real deal sound of metal that had really never had any commercial success beyond the grandfathers of progressive metal like Led Zeppelin, etc.
These three albums have hands down the best influences on the overall sound of the band. I hope that you enjoy listening to Queensryche!
